10 Easy Lessons, Lear To Play Recorder will show you all the basics of recorder playing and reading music.
The method is suitable for anyone who wants to learn to play the recorder. No previous musical knowledge or experience is necessary.
The method covers all the natural notes on the recorder from middle C up to the E a tenth above middle C, along with one sharp and one flat.
All essential articulations such as basic tonguing, slurring and staccato playing are also covered.
Music essentials such as time signatures, key signatures, note and rest values, repeats and first and second endings are covered too.
Each new note and technique is introduced separately.
The method also features a chart listing all fingerings for the recorder.
On completion of the method, you will already be able to play many tunes and be making great sounds.
You will also be ready to begin playing with other musicians and to move on to more advanced study of the recorder or to begin playing a larger wind instrument such as saxophone or clarinet.
